Massachusetts legislature kills pro-marriage amendment

Catholic World News : Massachusetts legislature kills pro-marriage amendment: "Under the terms of the Massachusetts constitution, the proposed amendment needed the support of just 50 legislators in order to be placed on the ballot for a statewide vote in November 2008. Because the proposal did not reach that minimum level of support, the amendment is defeated." Truly a sad day for a MA. Not 50 out of the lot were willing to stand up for what is right. It is kind of like the the story of Sodom and Gomorrah (how fitting). I can hear Abraham say "But Lord, if I can find but 50 legislators...."
