God or Mammon

No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon. Luke 16:13 I think it worth repeating this verse from Sunday's Gospel for those of us living in the world, but striving to not be of the world (I include myself here). Whom will we serve today? Wealth? Power? Sex? If we want to know whom our god is, then look at what we love. Look at what we are devoted to. Look at what compels us to do what we do. May the love of God and the love of neighbor be the source of all we do. Then the one true living God will truly be our God.
